Tennessee's Food Waste Awareness Week is April 1 to April 14

The goal of Food Waste Awareness Week is to raise awareness about issues surrounding food waste and to encourage action to prevent food waste.

Items can be dropped off at the UT Extension-Jackson County office Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All items collected will benefit the New Hope Food pantry in Gainesboro.

Rowing The River And Fun Float

Jackson County will host a kayaking competition and fun float at Roaring River on April 20, beginning at 9:00am. This event is open to all.
