Bulldogs Destroy Blue Devils In First Game


The Jackson County Blue Devils traveled to the Clay County Bulldogs for their first game of the 2021 season, and their first meeting since 2018.

The Blue Devils won the coin toss, and received the ball first at their own 40- yard line.

The first drive would see the Blue Devils offense try to establish the run early in the drive with big runs by Austin Birdwell and Hayden Stacy, to advance the ball to the Bulldogs 48- yard line. Then on second down in Bulldog territory a pass from Jake Garrison to Drew Clinard resulting in a 10- yard gain down to the Bulldogs 26- yard line, after a couple runs by Will Flanigan the Blue Devils offense would stall and turn the ball over on downs.

The Bulldogs would start their first drive of the game at their own 26- yard line. After a couple of penalties, a QB run, and a pass from Keaton Arms to Jimmy Burchett. The Bulldogs would find themselves at the Blue Devils 39- yard line. After runs by Keaton Arms, Joseph Marcom and Carson Sharp, the Bulldogs found themselves looking at a fourth and goal from the Blue Devils 2- yard line, a run by Carson Sharp would result in a touchdown, the PAT was good.
