After 42 years of dedicated service to the Jackson County Highway Department, Mrs. Sue Davidson will be setting her sights on a well-deserved retirement and spending more time with her husband and their family.
Over the past four decades, Davidson worked as the department’s bookkeeper, which consists of keeping track of the budget, completing data entry, grant writing, maintaining financial records, invoicing, payroll, maintaining records and files, meeting deadlines, and much more.
Representatives with the Jackson County Highway Department noted they will never forget her exceptional service and contributions.
Tennessee state officials noted that, “Sue is one of the best, if not the best.”
Davidson was described as a cherished friend to all, offering encouragement and support to all the employees.
“All of us here will miss Mama Sue and wish her a well-deserved retirement,” members of the Jackson County Highway Department noted.
