U.S. News and World Report release the ranking of the schools in the United States, and none other than Jackson County’s own Dodson Branch Elementary school ranked within the top five percent of Tennessee schools.
Dodson Branch is the only K-8 school in Jackson County serving the children of the Dodson Branch community under the leadership of Principal Brian Lee.
According to the US News and World Report Dodson Branch has a total enrollment of 286 with 18 full time teachers, giving them a ratio of 15:1.
Dodson Branch students scored an average proficiency of 42 percent in math which is above the state average of 28 percent and the district average if 33 percent. They also have an average proficiency of 32 percent which is slightly above the district average of 31 percent and the state average of 28 percent.
