Wanda Lee Anderson 

Wanda Lee Anderson was born August 16, 1930 in Waco, TX and she passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at her residence in Gainesboro, TN at the age of 93.

She was married to late James Fleming Anderson.

Survivors include sons Douglas (B.J.) Anderson of Joelton, TN, David (Betsi) Anderson of Lavergne, TN, Michael (Beth) Anderson of Portland, TN ; grandchildren, Linda (James) Cothren of Gainesboro, TN, Ashley (Joseph) Knipfer of Springfield, TN, Kimberly (Brandon) Perry of Millersville, TN, Bitsy (Bill) Rawlings of Smyrna, TN, Terri (Noel) Lagunas of San Antonio, TX, Robert Buckley of Little Rock, AR ; great grandchildren, Kayla, Scarlett, Joseph, Melanie, Savannah, Riley, Barrett, Kinsley, Blakely, Stephen, Bryan, Emma, and Abigail, and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Weldon Copeland and Joe Howell Copeland.

The family has chosen cremation at this time.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dale Mercer 

Dale Mercer was born September 13, 1952, in Jackson County, TN, and he passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, at his residence in Gainesboro, TN, at the age of 71.

Dale was the son of Frank Clark Mercer and Anna Lois Gore Mercer. He was a cabinet maker.  Dale was of the Church of Christ faith and was baptized into Christ on February 12, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Holly Lee Mercer.

Survivors include his spouse: Betty Mercer of Gainesboro, TN; son: Jonathan Mercer of Gainesboro, TN; daughter: Rachel (Teddy) Ragland of Gainesboro, TN; sister: Brenda (Jeff) Raines of Gainesboro, TN; mother: Anna Lois Mercer of Whitleyville, TN; grandchildren: Peyton (Hillary) Ragland and Hannah (Travis) Jackson; great grandchildren: Bryce Ragland, Kyler Ragland, Zaidyn Jackson, Haislee Jackson.

Graveside services were conducted on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 3:30 pm at the Pharris Cemetery in Gainesboro, TN, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pharris Cemetery by contacting the business office of the funeral home.

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
